On 2nd June SIBB hosted delegation of tech companies from Szczecin, members of ICT West Pomeranian Cluster. Event was organised as joint initiative of Forum Digital Transformation&Digital Platforms and Technologies & DeepTech Hub Project and composed composed of two parts:
1. Exchange of insights about challenges and opportunities as far as digitalisation and the ICT sector is concerned in Poland and Germany
2. Business speed dating
ICT West Pomeranian Cluster
Magdalena Ławicka, PhD - Chief Operating Officer at IT Cluster and Assistant Professor at the University of Szczecin and Daniel Czapiewski - Member of the Board at IT Cluster and Managing Director at STETTINER ID&STORY gave a great overview about strengths of the West Pomeranian ICT Cluster composed of 75 tech companies representing diverse industries and expertise. Szczecin and Germany have long lasting business relations. About 20 % of IT companies located in Szczecin have German capital. Huge export of IT services and DACH countries are the main export destination.
Tim Neugebauer Managing Director DMK E-BUSINESS GmbH and Speaker of the Forum Digital Platforms and Technologies shared interesting story of the ICT development sector in Eastern parts of Germany. Last two years accelerated need for digitalisation and rapid changes are happening in Germany.
Marcin Kaczmarek - Chairman of the Board at IT Cluster and CEO at Consileon Poland, focused of the the ICT in West Pomeranian sector, strengths and opportunities for successful business collaboration with German partners.
Networking part gave an opportunity to learn more about companies and search for areas for collaboration. Representatives of West Pomerania Region and Virginia State in the USA joined the event.
