It is the result of a intensive collaborative development process with members and partners:inneof of the association and articulates a shared understanding of how to responsibly shape the digital future.
At the heart of the charter is the belief that technology should serve people, strengthen social participation, and combine economic innovation with responsibility and sustainability.
SIBB Managing Director Sinan Arslan emphasizes the importance of this shared process: “We live by these values and bring them to life. Every day, our dedicated members show that we are more than just a network—we are a community of shared values.”
SIBB Chairman Thomas Schröter presents ssumm up the charter’s mission: “Technology should serve people, enrich their lives, and not dictate them. The standard is and will always be—even for us at SIBB—the human being.”
Many of the members involved in the charter attended the summer party and were visible as Impact Ambassadors. The charter thus became one of the central topics of conversation that evening and provides important momentum for the SIBB’s ongoing work toward a livable digital future.
Dr. Severin Fischer, State Secretary of the State of Berlin, was also a guest at the summer festival. He emphasized the importance of the digital economy for the innovation and competitiveness of the capital region. At the same time, he praised the SIBB’s commitment as a key facilitator of connections between business, academia, and politics.
