Starting in May 2026, SIBB will be a consortium partner in a “European Digital Innovation Hub” (EDIH). Our focus is on the use of AI and cybersecurity in SMEs in Berlin and Brandenburg.

The European Digital Innovation Hubs (EDIHs) are an EU-funded initiative aimed at accelerating digital transformation in Europe. They support public organizations and SMEs in testing digital technologies, building digital skills, increasing their digital maturity, and effectively implementing investments. The EDIH is funded by the State of Brandenburg.

AI and Cybersecurity for SMEs

Together with TH Wildau, BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg, and the Brandenburg Digital Agency, SIBB forms a strong consortium dedicated to the digital transformation of business and public administration in Berlin and Brandenburg. Our primary focus is on the application of AI and cybersecurity in SMEs. Within the EDIH, SIBB ensures that AI and cybersecurity are not only put into practice but also generate measurable added value.

A bridge between innovation and application

As part of the EDIH, the SIBB brings the perspective of the digital economy to the table. The association connects around 200 IT and tech companies with over 10,500 employees in Berlin and Brandenburg and has been promoting innovation and collaboration between tech companies, startups, and research institutions since 1992. Within the EDIH consortium, we translate this expertise into practical applications for SMEs and actively contribute to ensuring that digital transformation, the use of AI, and cybersecurity protection foster innovation, growth, and security.

Free services for businesses and government agencies

The consortium offers a wide range of free resources to help put digitalization and AI into practice—such as training sessions, workshops, test labs, demonstrators, networking events, and conferences.
