After ten intensive months in the SIBB Startup Incubator, the time had come on June 25: this year's startups presented themselves at the SIBB Startup Pitch Night, for the first time as part of the buildersklub conference.
The fact that this new setting was such a good fit was not only due to the venue or the audience, but also to the close connection to our member company Naviu, whose co-founder Diogo Guerner is one of the main organizers of the buildersklub. Together, we pursue a similar goal: to connect people with ideas and drive - regardless of whether they work with no-code, low-code or AI solutions.

Between founding, financing and real chemistry
The first highlight of the evening was the panel with Jana Schellong (SIBB alumna) and Mathias Meyer (investor). Both spoke openly about the interaction between start-ups and investors and how much depends on trust, the right chemistry and good communication. No standard tips, but personal insights.

Nine teams and many personal stories
On stage were nine start-ups that have not only honed their ideas over the past few months, but have also experienced ups and downs - as is often the case in the early start-up phases. Each story was unique, and that's what made the evening so exciting. Also present were:
GrantHive - a platform that helps startups apply for EU funding efficiently.
Epic Test Quest - a smart tool that makes test management easier for developers
DT Sec Labs - continuous real-time cybersecurity for Industry 4.0
eras.fyi - financial education for disadvantaged groups
Piumosso - music, language and body in a reimagined learning format
Soda - automated user documentation for faster UX and product teams
Immersive - a language learning tool for advanced users
Allie - gender equity learning games for companies

A little surprise highlight: violin during the break
During the break, Rodolfo Inokawa from Piumosso provided a special moment: he brought peace to the room for a few minutes with his violin. A soothing break after so much concentrated input. A special performance that stayed with many.

At the end of the evening, the audience was able to vote live. The three teams with the most votes were invited directly to the SIBB Summer Festival on September 12 - including a free ticket. A great opportunity to continue the exchange with the Berlin startup community.

Voices from the evening
In addition to all the pitches and discussions, the feedback from the founders was particularly memorable:
"You pushed us past our comfort zones - always with calm and wisdom."
"You shielded us from stress, so we could focus on building"
"You called the BS - and helped us rise above it"
"You made sure we got our money. Nothing more needs to be said."
We from the SIBB team (Etta, Mario, Urte, Ron) also say thank you: for the trust, the commitment and the courage to embark on this journey for ten months. For many, it was not only a start-up experience, but also a personal growth experience. Regardless of whether the current project continues in the end or not, we are certain that the ground has been prepared for our founders for what is yet to come.

What happens next
The SIBB Startup Incubator is now taking a short break - the next batch is expected to start in mid-2026. Until then, we are putting our energy into other programs that strengthen Berlin and European startups. These include: The GreenHealth Accelerator, EIT Spark CC and EIT Digital Spin: Rise. More information on our current programs can be found on our startup page www.sibb.de/startups .
