The Cybersecurity Launchpad is a 9-week hybrid training and mentoring program designed to help researchers in cybersecurity, privacy and trustworthy AI turn their scientific work into real-world commercial successes.
The program is led by SIBB and supported by a network of over 200 partners from the technology sector. It provides practical guidance in the areas of entrepreneurship and IP valorization, with a focus on marketability, industry networking and cross-border collaboration.
Is that something for you?
This program is aimed at researchers who:
- belong to a university or research institution in the European Union or in a country associated with Horizon Europe;
- focus on cybersecurity, trustworthy AI, data protection or related areas;
- want to tap into the market or social potential of their research.
Applications are possible for:
- Researchers and academic staff at all career levels (especially junior researchers);
- Master's students if they are involved in a relevant research project.
You don't need a business plan or a team - just a project with potential.

- 8-week online learning: Workshops every Thursday from 2pm to 4pm with topics such as:
- Assessing the value of patents
- Developing a scalable business idea
- Company positioning
- Customer acquisition
- Integrating trustworthy AI
- Financing options
- Pitch training
- Mentoring: Individual one-to-one meetings
- Bootcamp in Berlin: 3-day practical event with networking
